Selection process

Applications for the Goldmill Grant will be reviewed and scored by a diverse panel from Goldmill Co. with backgrounds in design, marketing, and business development. Each panelist will evaluate entries based on specific criteria, such as the clarity of the business’ mission, the demonstrated need for rebranding, and the potential impact of the logo on the company’s impact.

The judging process will be structured in the following steps:

  1. Initial Review: Each entry will be reviewed for eligibility and completeness.

  2. Scoring & Evaluation: Qualified applications will then be scored by the panel according to predetermined criteria, ensuring a fair and unbiased process.

  3. Final Selection: The top-scoring applications will proceed to a final round, where the panel will discuss and select the winner based on overall impact potential.

The goal of the panel process is to ensure that the chosen recipient truly aligns with the values of the Goldmill Grant and will benefit meaningfully from a new logo and branding.

ELEGIBILITY

  • Nominate yourself or someone else

  • Established company (Must have current LLC or S-Corp) 

  • Each individual may submit only one nomination for a company. However, a company may receive multiple nominations from different individuals. Duplicate nominations from the same individual will not be considered. (Duplicate entries do not affect selection.)

  • US-based entity

Notification

After the final selection has been made, both the winning nominee and the individual who submitted the nomination (if applicable) will be notified by email at 12PM CST on December 3, 2024. To confirm acceptance of the Goldmill Grant, the selected business must reply to our email within 48 hours of receipt. An alternate winner may be chosen if we do not receive confirmation within this timeframe.

    • Mockups: Visual representations of your logo applied to various mediums, showing how it will appear in real-world applications.

  • Half-Day Workshop: In-person review and revision session.

  • No. The winner is not chosen randomly, so each individual company will only be evaluated once.

  • Yes, but not immediately. We will do another round of the Goldmill Grant in the future. Join our mailing list to be notified when the next round opens.

  • Yes. Once selected, the winner must sign a Creative Services (CSA) before work begins. Once the final brand is selected, the rights to the artwork will transfer to the winner.
